Reykjavik Modern

During the 20th Century concrete became the dominant building material in Reykjavik. This, in short, was

due to a scarcity of natural resources coupled with a demographic boom and technological advances of

the time. Reykjavik Modern documents how the material defines the pattterns and textures of

contemporary Reykjavik and representative of the cities' ongoing collective housing culture.
