Polishing Iceland

Confusion turns into comedy, fear into action. Through sensual and surreal physical theatre, Polishing

Iceland
conveys a universal story about looking for human connection and understanding beyond words.

A wall, a door.

A table, a bus.

A bed, a boat, a counter,....

Polyvalent and light, rigid and strong, the object serves as the 4th actor of the piece. Playing multiple

roles the object incarnates an ever-changing relationship to the physicality of the actors.

Set Design, Reykjavik, 2020 in collaboration with Reykjavik Ensamble International Theatre Company and

Tjarnarbíó, directed by Pálína Jónsdóttir.
